Acerca de
Elorm Nick Ahialey-Mawusi is the Pastor of Living Generation Church (LGC), a post-migration church in Hamburg with a transcultural ecclesiological orientation. He is also a theologian and PhD research fellow at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, Germany, where his research focuses on (post)migration churches as agents of theological knowledge production and their role in society.
His academic interests include migrant churches, the mission of (post)migration churches, transcultural ecclesiology, and the transcultural functions of theology in social negotiations. A particular focus of his work is the cultural dual belonging of second-generation German Protestants of African heritage. He has published widely on post-migration churches, intercultural theology, mission, and diakonia.
Nick holds a Master of Arts in Theology from the University of Bonn and a Bachelor’s degree in Mission and International Diakonia from the University of Applied Sciences for Intercultural Theology in Hermannsburg, Germany. He also earned the Diplom der Missionsakademie from the Academy of Mission at the University of Hamburg.
In addition to his academic work, he serves as a consultant on migrant and post-migration churches in Germany and across Europe, and is a member of the Commissions on Mission and Inspiration of the Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag. With over 20 years of pastoral experience, Nick understands his vocation as that of an agent of reconciliation and a bridge-builder — between first- and second-generation African migrants, and between migrant and autochthonous churches.
