Joana Mensah leads Community Voices Media’s oral-history practice, working with contributors before and after the recorder is switched on. Her work focuses on consent, memory, translation, and the small details that institutions often miss when they summarize a life too quickly. Joana edits testimony with contributors, not around them, and treats public memory as something communities should be able to shape directly.
