Amara Diallo leads Equal Voices Initiative’s community advocacy work, accompanying residents’ groups, parent councils, and local coalitions as they turn documented experiences of discrimination into campaigns institutions cannot ignore. She came to the organization from years of neighbourhood organizing and brings her own lived experience of racism into the work — which is why “you decide” is the first thing people hear from her, not the last. Amara convenes the initiative’s community monitoring projects and co-writes its guidance on collective action.
